Why Bulgaria?
The European Commission and the European Parliament have proposed ambitious EU-wide recycling targets as part of the Circular Economy Package. Bulgaria is an EU member state and the following indicative targets for reuse and recycling of waste by 2020 are set:

– The disposed biodegradable waste should be reduced to 35 % and the amount of recycled waste should to increase to 50 %.
– 70 % of Construction and Demolition waste to be recycled.

Following the trend of replacing the ‘take, make, dispose’ model with a ‘circular economy’ approach across Europe, Bulgaria will widely introduce eco-friendly solutions and practices in the coming years. There is still time to join the event at www.viaexpo.com.
