International Take-Back of Old Equipment

German-based RENE AG – a network, which handles international compliance tasks stemming from WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), batteries and packaging obligations for companies – offers its service worldwide.

Around 80 states across the globe have formally defined standards for environmentally sound recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the business that runs one of the largest commercial European systems in this sector, informed. To meet those standards, it would manage a worldwide network of WEEE recycling companies. “Currently, this network spans across 56 countries,” RENE AG pointed out. Together with more than 80 contracted – and certified – partners, the firm was prepared to take back WEEE in many regions: North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. “The recycling is executed within the country of the pick-up.”
