Steinert Intensifies its Presence in Mexico

German-based Steinert GmbH, a sorting and separation technologies specialist for the recycling and raw material industries, is broadening its activities in Mexico.

Increased market proximity and enhanced service capabilities would support the company’s continued growth in the Mexican recycling and mining industry. “The move to Mexico reflects the growing importance of the Mexican market for the waste management, metal processing and mining industries and reinforces Steinert’s commitment to developing long-term partnerships with local operators,” the internationally active company informed. The aim is to respond more directly to customers’ requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of their sorting and separation systems – supported by a dedicated warehouse and local spare-parts availability.

As reported, a major recent project demonstrates the Mexican market’s potential. The manufacturer has been selected to design and supply the separation equipment for DIMECA’s new ferrous metal recovery line in central Mexico. “The company is a leading scrap metal processor and will use advanced Steinert separation and recovery technologies to process up to 20 tons of material per hour.” The new line is designed to increase operational efficiency and to maximize the recovery of secondary raw materials.
