In the Sultanate of Oman, a new glass recycling plant is to be built and is expected to be operational by the end of 2019.

The fully-automated facility (capacity: 650 tons/day) is to be built in Sohar. According to the information, it will be the first glass recycling plant in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC). The plant is specifically designed to meet the needs of varied glass manufacturers within the GCC region in terms of specifications, volumes, and pricing, Glass Scan Technologies, the exclusive project partner for this investment, informed. The company will deliver the patented technology.

As reported, Glass Scan Technologies have the rights, the proprietary know-how, and the strategic industry partners to support the implementation of the legal frame, assist the introduction of glass recycling to the public, arrange and operate waste glass collection, build and operate a recycling glass plant and control and manage all relevant data.
