Joint Forces to Build a New Independent Platform for Waste Management

Two companies, Seenons and Junkbusters, intend to strengthen circular waste management across Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Junkbusters, a Danish-born waste management company operating in these three markets, with expertise in construction and demolition waste, will become part of the Netherlands-based Seenons Group.

Together, both companies would combine full-service waste management, local expertise and tech-enabled solutions to help organizations reduce waste, increase circularity and gain greater transparency into their waste streams, the information said. For their customers and partners in all three countries, operations would remain unchanged; the integration would take place gradually.

As underlined, this partnership marks another step in the Dutch company’s ambition to build a leading independent platform for transparent and sustainable waste management. “Following earlier expansions into Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden, Seenons continues to scale its European network, supported by investors including Fortino Capital and Invest-NL, who share Seenons’ belief that impact and commercial success go hand in hand, and that major societal challenges are solved by building strong companies with healthy business models.” Both investors believe reducing waste and accelerating circularity requires solutions that combine technology, data and strong local execution. “This acquisition reflects the type of mission-driven growth they are committed to supporting.”
