CARBIOS Enters the R-PET Market

French biotech company CARBIOS has signed a multi-year commercial agreement with Thailand-based Indorama Ventures, a global leader in PET production.

According to the French firm, this agreement covers the supply of biorecycled monomers, which will be transformed into r-PET filaments by Indorama Ventures. While CARBIOS would use its enzymatic PET recycling technology to produce monomers from complex PET waste at its future industrial site in Longlaville, the Thai partner “will handle the repolymerization and production of technical filaments. Michelin will use these innovative materials in its tire reinforcements.”
