New Plant in India
Austria-based company Constantia Flexibles officially unveiled a new plant in Ahmedabad (India).
The firm’s Ecoflex plant opened in November last year after more than two years of intensive preparations. In total, it has an area of 24,500 square meters and currently employs 50 people. The number is expected to triple by the second quarter of 2020. The plant produces the packaging solution EcoLam by Constantia Flexibles. According to the information, EcoLam is a lightweight Mono-PE laminate suitable for a great variety of packaging applications and is part of Constantia Flexibles’ product line Ecolutions. Due to its mono-material structure, the material is fully recyclable. It comes in different barrier grades to deliver the needs for a wide range of products. “Even though Constantia Ecoflex Ahmedabad is located in India, the plant will supply customers worldwide,” the manufacturer assures.
