The Launch of “Spotlight on Malaysia: Buyer Program” at CHINAPLAS 2025

To further promote the innovations and applications of plastics and rubber technology, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. (Adsale), the organizer of CHINAPLAS, one of the world’s leading plastics and rubber trade fairs, proudly announces its debut initiative, the “Spotlight on Malaysia: Buyer Program”. This initiative strategically partnered with the Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) for the 37th CHINAPLAS, which will be held at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’an, Shenzhen), PR China from April 15-18, 2025, aims to leverage the reputations of both parties for strengthening international business connections, and for adhering to CHINAPLAS’ mission in enhancing technological exchange and global trade cooperation.

Malaysia’s plastics industry plays a vital role in the country’s economy, serving various downstream manufacturing sectors, including electronics and electrics, automotive, food and beverage packaging, medical and healthcare, building materials, etc. The market is projected to reach USD 3.89 billion in 2024 and grow to USD 4.71 billion by 2029, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.91% over the forecast period. This growth is driven by increasing demand from the downstream sectors and innovations in the plastic and recycling technologies.

As a long-standing partner of CHINAPLAS, MPMA has been providing strong support, such as recruiting delegations, co-organizing webinars, and participating in CHINAPLAS concurrent onsite events. The launch of the “Spotlight on Malaysia: Buyer Program” represents a significant milestone in this collaboration. This initiative is expected to intensify the appeal to international visitors and further establish CHINAPLAS as an iconic trade show for the global plastics and rubber industries. The partnership between Adsale and MPMA is poised to deliver substantial benefits for both parties and the industry as a whole. Adsale anticipates that more partners will join this initiative in the future.

“It is our honor to have Malaysia under the spotlight of CHINAPLAS 2025 and we feel excited about the collaboration with MPMA.” said Ms. Ada Leung, General Manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. “This partnership will strengthen global ties and promote mutual growth in the plastics and rubber industries. By combining our strengths and resources, we aim to create a global platform for fostering collaboration and driving the industry towards a sustainable future. We look forward to welcoming and building up meaningful business connections for Malaysian visitors at CHINAPLAS 2025.”

“Given the wide applications of plastics and rubber, MPMA will extend its efforts beyond plastics converters by collaborating with other trade units and industry associations in Malaysia to promote CHINAPLAS 2025. We are pleased to offer exclusive services to MPMA’s delegates ranging from complimentary business matching services to factory visits and networking events,” Ms. Leung added.

To maximize the impact of this collaboration, Adsale and MPMA planned to co-organize a New Tech Seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in January 2025, three months ahead of CHINAPLAS 2025. The seminar will unveil new solutions to be showcased at the trade fair, building anticipation for the exhibition and fostering active engagement with the participants.

Mr. CC Cheah, President, Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA), expressed enthusiasm about the strategic partnership with CHINAPLAS 2025 under the “Spotlight on Malaysia: Buyer Program”. “This collaboration presents a major opportunity for both Malaysia and MPMA to engage with international markets, strengthen trade relationships and exchange knowledge on critical global challenges like sustainability, circular economy and high-end technology. We are excited to bring together industry leaders, professionals, stakeholders and thought leaders at this event, fostering positive transformation within the plastics industry. We aim to leverage this opportunity to benefit not only our members, but also the end-user sectors, driving further advancement in the plastics industry,” he stated.

Apart from the strategic partnership with the MPMA, Adsale has also been promoting CHINAPLAS 2025 at a series of events in other countries and regions like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia etc. to recruit overseas buyers to attend CHINAPLAS to be held in Shenzhen, PR China next year.
