Reclay Sister RecycleMe Expands its Brand to the United Arab Emirates
International experts in circular economy with new mainland location in Dubai
Globally active business consultancy RecycleMe opens office in the United Arab Emirates and will support its customers and partners from its new location in Dubai. The sister company of Reclay Group has successfully established its brand across Europe and set up more than 500 consulting projects in the fields of laws and regulations in circular economy, extended producer responsibility (EPR) and recyclability of packaging. The broad portfolio will offer much needed expertise in the current focus of a circular transition in UAE. After expanding from Germany to Austria and Slovakia, UAE is the next step in terms of strategic business internationalization for Sabrina Goebel, Managing Director of RecycleMe GmbH. “Current global market developments and regulations in the circular economy make our unique expertise, know-how and technical infrastructure relevant around the globe. Our goal is to support our customers and partners in as many markets as possible, which is why I am very happy to welcome Dubai as a new RecycleMe location”.
Sister company Reclay Group has gained international recognition as an experienced operator of waste management systems in Europe and Canada over the past 20 years. With every location combined, Reclay Group manages to send an amount of more than one million tons of packaging per year into high quality recycling processes. Due to the increasing need for consultancy services, RecycleMe officially launched its brand in 2021 as a strategic step to increase the focus on the consulting business in the fields of EPR, recyclability and circular economy regulations.
RecycleMe know-how meets strong focus on circular economy in GCC
Nico Rau is responsible for developing the business in Dubai as Managing Director Middle East at the mainland company Recycle.Me Waste Plastic Trading CO. L.L.C. The former Area Manager of Reclay Group has years of experience in international waste management, specifically in the fields of disposal and recycling. “I am very much looking forward to help exciting and innovative new partners to fulfill their environmental responsibilities, while they continue to focus on their core business.” Looking at the market situation in UAE, Nico expects great potential due to a strong need for circular economy know-how in order to protect natural resources. “In 2021, UAE government published a ‘Circular Economy Policy’. The transition towards a more circular economy where the country’s resources are used in an efficient and sustainable manner is a high priority and will be supported – among other actions – by a corresponding legal and regulatory framework and economic incentives. I am convinced that our global expertise will be of great value for every company active in GCC.” In addition to regulatory know-how and state-of-the-art insights and technology in the sector of recyclability, RecycleMe offers a unique international network and infrastructure thanks to the close connection to its sister company Reclay Group. “Our ability to generate access to recycling feedstock will also be a helpful asset to many companies in GCC” Nico adds. “Keeping high-value materials in circulation will be a key focus in UAEs Circular Economy Policy.”
