USA: Brightmark to Invest in new Plastics Circularity Center

Circular solutions company Brightmark LLC, headquartered in San Francisco, intends to develop a 2.5 million-square-foot circularity center in Thomaston (Georgia) with the capacity to repurpose over 400,000 tons of plastic per year. According to Brightmark, the company’s proprietary Plastics Renewal technology “takes discarded plastic content and converts it into the materials to create new circular plastic products” via pyrolysis. The scope of investment will be nearly one billion US-Dollar, the information said. Construction is expected to start in 2025. The facility could go into operation in 2027.
