CHINAPLAS 2027 Drives the Industry-Wide Upgrade

CHINAPLAS 2027, where the plastics and rubber industries showcase their next wave of innovation, is set to take center stage at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’an), PR China, on Apr 13-16, 2027. The exhibition area is expected to reach 390,000 sqm, bringing together over 4,700 international exhibitors.

Alternating held between Shenzhen (odd years) and Shanghai (even years), CHINAPLAS returns to Shenzhen with a refreshed proposition spanning a new theme, emerging sectors, and novel innovations. Rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, reaching across Asia, and connecting deeply with global industrial-chain resources, the show is riding the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) momentum and writing a new chapter for the plastics and rubber industries.

A New Theme at the Core of Industry Transformation
CHINAPLAS 2027 embarks on a new journey under the theme “Advancing a Smarter, Circular Future – As One,” focusing on the core propositions of intelligent innovation, green upgrading, and stronger supply chain resilience in the plastics and rubber industries. 2026 marks the APEC “China Year”, while the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting will be held in Shenzhen in November under the theme “Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together”, with a focus on three priorities: “Openness, Innovation, and Cooperation”.

Against this backdrop, CHINAPLAS 2027 responds to the defining issues of APEC and shared development through industry practice. It brings together enterprises and technology experts throughout the global plastics and rubber industrial chain to showcase and exchange innovations in intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, circular economy, and low-carbon technologies. By facilitating technology exchange, supply-demand matching, and cross-regional cooperation, the exhibition will further strengthen Shenzhen’s role as an international platform that connects the Asia-Pacific and reaches the world, propelling the plastics and rubber industries towards higher levels of technological innovation, green transformation, and industrial collaboration.

Megatrends including circular economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and supply chain restructuring are profoundly reshaping global manufacturing landscape. Competition is no longer one-dimensional. It now spans environmental sustainability, circularity, core technological capabilities, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience. Artificial intelligence is becoming deeply embedded in essential industrial processes such as injection molding, extrusion, inspection, packaging and materials R&D. It is emerging as a pivotal variable in reshaping efficiency, quality, and cost, while powering innovation and industrial development in green and low-carbon technologies. Amid the deep adjustments in global trade and economic structure, ensuring stable and secure industrial and supply chains have become a primary focus and a vital safeguard for the high-quality development of manufacturing.

Anchored by six defining trends — green development, intelligence, high-end advancement, functionality, integration and globalization, the exhibition unites over 4,700 international exhibitors and over 300,000 professional visitors from around the world. From plastics and rubber raw materials to machinery and equipment, and from innovative technology products to downstream application industries, every segment in the value chain works in concert with a global outlook. By drawing together diverse strengths and injecting greater “certainty” into the industry’s development, CHINAPLAS continues to lead the transformation and upgrading of the plastics and rubber industries towards the higher end of the value chain.

Rooted in Shenzhen – where frontier tech meets real-world applications
Shenzhen’s strategic emerging and future industries are unleashing powerful momentum, expanding horizons and unlocking broad application opportunities for innovation across the plastics and rubber industries.

In 2025, the added value of the city’s low-altitude economy and aerospace industry cluster reached RMB 35.06 billion, surged 31% year-on-year, as Shenzhen pushes to become the “world premier low-altitude economy city.” Its robotics sector is home to more than 91,000 companies — the highest in the country — with leaders such as UBTECH, HONOR, and Leju Robotics. The integrated-circuit industry also shows robust momentum, recording sales revenue of RMB 361.04 billion in 2025, up 27.1% year-on-year, ranking among the nation’s top.

Crucially, Shenzhen serves as a civil-scale proving ground for pioneering technologies and products — enabling accelerated market adoption and the rapid scaling of innovation. As a premier hub for end-product deployment, Shenzhen offers unparalleled value for the commercial validation of innovative materials.

Returning to Shenzhen, CHINAPLAS 2027 will harness this innovation ecosystem to speed up scenario-based validation and real-world deployment of plastics and rubber breakthroughs. The show goes beyond exhibit display, placing greater emphasis on breaking industry boundaries. This edition continues to push the application boundaries of plastics and rubber, focusing on high-growth sectors such as the low-altitude economy, embodied intelligence, AI data centers, and semiconductors. Concurrently, it connects with established industries including automotive, packaging, electrical and electronics, building and infrastructure, and medical and healthcare. Through cross-sector integration, the show will expand and upgrade application scenarios for plastics and rubber technologies, converting innovative achievements into new quality productive forces.

Seizing the APEC era. Connecting global business — face to face
With the 2026 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting placing the spotlight on Shenzhen, the city’s value and international influence as a global hub for technology, high‑end manufacturing, commerce and trade continue to expand. This provides CHINAPLAS with a higher-level international platform of broader reach, converging premium resources and business opportunities from the plastics and rubber value chain at a greater pace. As both an “industry barometer” and a “resource connector” for the global plastics and rubber industries, CHINAPLAS empowers professionals to identify industry trends, connect with quality global resources, and navigate precisely for market opportunities. Upstream and downstream enterprises will meet face-to-face on-site to explore cutting-edge technology pathways, innovative application scenarios, and industry trends. These direct communications fast-track the journey of innovative technologies from the laboratory to the production line, while building lasting trust, advancing long-term cooperation and shared growth.

Demand for exhibition space at CHINAPLAS 2027 is already running high, with industry anticipation continuing to build. From exhibitors and exhibits to innovative technologies, concurrent events, and  on-site services, this edition is set to deliver an unprecedented experience and value to the industry.

Professionals from plastics and rubber industries worldwide are warmly invited to gather in Shenzhen in April 2027 for this flagship annual industry event.
