AMCS Launches AMCS Platform Summer Release 2021

AMCS, the world’s leading technology provider for the waste, recycling and resource management industry, today announced the AMCS Platform Summer Release 2021 which accelerates the digital transformation of, both user and customer self-serve experiences, as well as increasing the automation of transport management.

This Summer Release creates a new Platform user experience across the Customer Care module, with the user interface designed around the daily needs and tasks of a customer service representative. The result is an intuitive and dynamic user experience designed for ease of use and to maximize productivity by providing quick access to the most important critical and frequently used functionality.

The new “Easy to Order – Easy to Pay” e-commerce portal also displays a more natural user experience, where shoppers can avail themselves of a shopping cart and one-click payment features to stimulate multiple and repeat purchases.

The AMCS Transport Management System has been extended to provide coverage for one trip scheduled services such as skip and roll-off work. This will allow planners to benefit from the full suite of automated planning, integrated resource management and live monitoring tools, to help manage this dynamic service area.

In addition, it offers a single click sequence optimization service to automatically and seamlessly insert orders on a round collection, that considers constraints such as customer access time restrictions. This powerful yet easy to use optimization service is designed to automate a daily task in seconds.

The new AMCS Telematics solution is designed to capture rich tracking and telematics data (such as driver behaviour, engine performance, fuel usage) combined with the route details to provide planners with an intuitive, data-rich dashboard for superior visibility and control.

Other key highlights of the Summer Release include:

  • Payments – Request to Pay feature to support pro-active payment request links in customer communications to support simple and quick Card and ACH payments.
  • New Yard Management mobile solution – web-based service, available on multiple devices, to manage all yard activities from grading, loading, stock checks and bar code scanning.
  • Improved customer self-service – added a highly intuitive shopping cart experience, leveraging geo-targeted advertising to support efficient order to cash model on the Customer Portal.
  • Enhanced pricing capability – introducing a new price hierarchy and structure so that operators can compete with flexible, differentiated services.

Commenting on these exciting new innovations Elaine Treacy, Global Product Director at AMCS said: “We are proud to be the first company in the waste & recycling market to offer an industry specific Transport Management System, embedded in the AMCS Platform which eliminates the need for interfacing siloed applications. We are solving one of the biggest challenges that companies in the industry face by offering a smarter platform where CRM, Billing, Scale & Materials Management – work seamlessly in real-time, to leverage the full potential of smart waste collection processes.”

“And it does not stop here”, Treacy continues. “The significant advances we have made with our SaaS Platform over the years, offering a superior user experience and an open-standards ecosystem, continues to play a pivotal role in providing our customers the best-in-class smart technology to future proof their businesses and deliver value-driven outcomes.”
